Free text:	Johann Wilhelm Carl Adolf v. H., eigtl. Jean Guillaume Adolphe Fiacre Honvlez, geb. 31.8.1730 in Vielsalm b. Lüttich, gest. 1.1.1805 in Köln; Kölner Kunstsammler, Privatgelehrter. Begründete ein vielbesuchtes Kunstkabinett, das er zusammen mit seiner Bibliothek (darin 968 Handschriften und über 4000 Drucke) testamentarisch Landgraf Ludwig X. von Hessen-Darmstadt vermacht hat (nachdem dieser im Gegensatz zur Stadt Köln daran Interesse zeigte und bereits i.J. 1803 Teile der Sammlungen, 100 Hss. und 109 Drucke, angekauft hatte).
